Most of you remember Fred, our blind Chihuahua.  He came in November of 07 and was diagnosed with fluid on his brain.  We had a shunt put in his brain that drained into his belly to keep the pressure from causing him seizures. Initially he did well.  Then in the fall the shunt started to give him some issues.  We consulted our friend Susan Marino from Angel's Gate in NY and she said she would take care of him so off he went.  In February he had a seizure and the shunt had disengaged.  He went to the hospital where the decision was made to send him off to heaven.  Quality of life was gone and our fragile boy needed to be freed.  I will never forget him, his beautiful face and how he felt in my arms.  Run free little one
